Hey Jammers - welcome to the new-look BODYJAM. This new class comes after months of reviewing and trialing different dance and music styles and sets a whole new direction for the programme.
Check out the education session on the DVD for the inside story about the new BODYJAM. Later on in the year we'll be bringing out a new trainer manual and module and a new technique DVD to bring everyone up-to-speed.
In the meantime, I just want you to experience the first of the new-look classes - and take a peek into the future of dance-based group fitness.
For openers, we've got a super-simple warm-up to find the "groove", with some isolation work and a super-smooth stretch block to wake up the body.
Then we go into a pumping nine-minute Euro House set, with some hard, chunky singalong sounds from Shapeshifters and Eric Prydz, and some heart-raising, simple combos to get the party under way and the heart rate rising.
Jammers head for the jungle in Track 4 - this is a grunty, Tribal Cardio blast with a real primal feel to unlock your dancing instincts and a huge class highlight.
Then the feel goes sexy-sensual for some cool recovery with Gwen Stefani.
Tracks 6 to 10 is our Dance Rehearsal phase. We've got eight blocks of hip-hop to learn to some "phat" sounds from 50 Cent, Jennifer and Janet.
Then let loose in a fierce Dance Performance workout to some amazing songs from Destiny's Child, Will Smith and The Black Eyed Peas.
The Groove Down is another class highlight - it's a Luther Vandross soul-sound with some smooth-flowing stretch blocks.
